Dear Friends,
I hope 2003 has begun well for you. Personally I am excited about the year ahead and I want to let you in on a few of the exciting projects since my last note.
Anniversaries
For my wife and me, this week marks our third wedding anniversary! Christina is the behind-the-scenes support network that keeps me moving and putting out great projects. Without her I would starve, smell like a rotten apple, walk around dressed in sackcloths, and probably sleep till noon. Thank you honey, I love you! (You can congratulate her personally on her patience for me by dropping a note at christina@positivefocus.com) So now onto year number four!
The new year also marks my fifth anniversary as an independent video and multimedia producer. For that I have all of you to thank! Thank you for the wonderful projects, opportunities and relationships that we have developed together. I would also like to thank the Academy...
DVD Production Special Offer
By now you have noticed that movies on DVD offer crystal clear sound and picture, exciting interactive menus, and enhanced special features. Well, I can provide those same benefits for your next video production.
Producing a DVD takes a little extra work and attention to detail, but the results are so much better than a VHS release. And DVD players can be programmed to show and repeat certain segments, making DVD the ideal format for trade show booths, presentations, kiosks, and exhibits. The process of preparing a DVD master is called authoring.
Here's the offer: From now until the end of April I am offering FREE DVD AUTHORING included with any video production. What that means is that on your next video production I will include standard DVD authoring service for free. (up to $500 of value, with any video production over $750. Simply bring this email with you when we initially discuss your production.)
You won't want to miss this opportunity to try out pristine digital quality on your next event video, training video, fund raising promotional video, wedding video, or trade show loop!
Singing Christmas Tree DVD
Before this year I have never seen Portland's Singing Christmas tree. I didn't realize the spectacular performance I was missing! Over 200 choir members come together for 12 performances at Portland's Keller Auditorium to an audience of over 30,000. Beautiful Christmas music driven by a full orchestra is wrapped together with a dramatic story line told through numerous actors.
This year, through a partnership with the Kingdom Company, I was responsible for bringing this performance to video. The project was my largest multi-camera shoot to date, and a very exciting project to work on!
The event was shot using three cameras, one mounted on a 30 foot "flying" camera crane which provided extraordinary stage-sweeping shots. The location audio was re mastered at Kingdom Company studios for a great sounding track, and the finished two hour production mastered to DVD for distribution.

"GATEWAYnorthwest" Newsletter
The first issue of Gateway Northwest is being delivered to 15,000 homes across the Pacific Northwest right now. I designed this newsletter for Gateway Financial Services, a premiere mortgage lender to the Pacific Northwest region.
The 6 page newsletter was designed in magazine format and printed using full color on gloss coat paper stock. As creator of the newsletter my role was that of writer, editor, and graphic designer. Look for more issues of the GATEWAYnorthwest in the future.

Spread the Word
I still need your help in passing along my name to friends and organizations who would be interested in the services I provide. Give me a call or drop an email, let me know of any referrals I can follow up on. As always referrals from my clients and friends are the best advertising I have, and I appreciate your help!
And for goodness sakes, if you need some production services yourself, lets get together and talk!
Sincerely,
Adriel Henderson
